57 Rapture of the Deep(Airey, Gillan, Glover, Morse, Paice)From the Deep Purple album Rapture of the Deep Every scuba diver is aware of the trouble you can find at plus three atmospheres. That's the pressure you feel below one hundred feet under the surface of the ocean, if you don't obey the rules. Nitrogen narcosis -or rapture of the deep as it was called by Cousteau - is the name of the condition and the effect is a loss of your sense of reason and to a lesser extent the control of your limbs…a bit like being drunk, intoxicated. Well, this is not so much to do with deep water but more to do with deep thinking and the dizzy effects that can be brought about by free meditation at depths of plus and minus three atmospheres. Rapture of the Deep(Airey, Gillan, Glover, Morse, Paice)I told you once about a place I'll meet you in the sky tonight I can't stand living this way We're all the same but then again I can't stand living this way As we all know it's hard to breathe |
