44 Obsessive Compulsive DisorderReporting back home by telephone every day during an Australian tour, I remarked upon the high quality of the strip joints there. It had become something of a routine - after shows in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and many places in between - to 'attend the ballet' as such activity has become euphemistically known in our circles. Well done Australia - and Canada too - for keeping a sense of perspective in this world of high horses. Anyway, the point of this story is not to extol the virtues of the 'ballet' but to repeat a bit of private conversation between myself and the lovely B. With not a hint of intolerance she expressed a small concern that my now regular visits could be interpreted as the beginnings of an obsession. By way of reassurance I explained that it was only because my eyesight was beginning to fail - I wear reading glasses - that I was taking every opportunity to see as much fanny as possible before I went blind.
